Story Time
Read-along picture books for toddlers. Five illustrated stories with word-by-word highlighting, read-aloud narration, and a star-collecting bookshelf. Cloud saves track your progress across devices.
About Story Time
Each story in Story Time plays out like a picture book come to life — a narrator reads aloud while each word lights up in turn, so toddlers can follow along at exactly the right pace. Five illustrated tales live on a bookshelf, and kids earn stars as they finish them, giving even very young readers a small sense of accomplishment to work toward.
The word-by-word highlighting is the real draw here. It builds that early connection between spoken sound and printed text without any drilling or pressure. Cloud saves mean a child can start a story on a family tablet and pick it up later on a phone without losing their place.
If early phonics is next on your list, Sound Safari covers similar ground with a focus on letter sounds and blending. Both apps sit comfortably in the education category. Story Time works best with headphones on — the narration carries a lot of the warmth, and a quiet moment together makes each story land better.
How to use
• Click on any story book from the shelf to start reading • Use the play button (▶) to hear the story read aloud with word highlighting • Navigate through pages using the left (◀) and right (▶) arrow buttons • Watch words highlight in gold as they're being read • Complete all pages of a story to earn a star • Click the back arrow (◂) to return to the bookshelf anytime Your goal is to read through all the stories and collect stars. Each story has 6 pages with simple text and colorful scenes. The app reads stories aloud while highlighting each word to help with reading comprehension. Progress dots under each book show how far you've read, and completed stories display a gold star. Stories include themes like sleepy moons, ocean adventures, friendly clouds, and growing seeds - perfect for young readers learning to follow along with text.
