Capital Rush
A world-capitals speed quiz. You’re prompted one country at a time — type its capital and the country fills in with a pin dropped on the real city; hit Reveal if you’re stuck (it won’t count). A spotlight panel zooms to show you where the asked country is while the full map stays put for context. Eight maps (world + every continent), three paces, leaderboards, percentile standings, and a per-answer rarity stat that shows how many other players knew each capital.
About Capital Rush
Capital Rush is a fast, friendly geography quiz built around one deceptively simple challenge: name the capital city of every country on Earth. You're shown one country at a time — type its capital and the nation lights up on the map with a pin dropped on the real city. Stuck on one? Skip ahead, step back, or tap Reveal answer to see it (it won't count toward your score).
How it plays
Pick a map and a pace, then start typing. The prompt names a country and you supply its capital. Correct answers fill the country in and add to your running count, while a zoomed spotlight panel shows you exactly where the asked country sits — the full world map stays on screen the whole time for context. Spelling is forgiving: common alternate names and accent-insensitive matches all work, so São Tomé, Sao Tome, and sao tome are all accepted.
Eight maps, three paces
- World — every one of the 197 capitals in a single run.
- Seven regional maps — Africa, Europe, Asia, North America, South America, the combined Americas, and Oceania for focused practice.
- Relaxed, Standard, or Blitz — choose how much time you get and how hard you push.
Climb the leaderboard
Every finished run records your score, your percentile against other players, and a per-answer rarity stat that reveals which capitals stump everyone else — so you know when you've nailed a genuinely tough one. Set new personal bests on each map, earn achievements from your very first capital all the way to all 197, and share a snapshot of your map whenever you do something worth bragging about.
Made for curious minds
Whether you're studying for a geography class, prepping for quiz night, or just love maps, Capital Rush turns memorizing world capitals into something you'll actually want to repeat. It runs instantly in your browser on phone, tablet, or desktop — no download, no install.

How to use
You’re shown one country at a time — type its capital to light the country and drop a green ✓ pin at the real city. Use the ‹ › arrows to skip ahead or step back, or “Reveal answer” for a tough one (it drops a red ✗ and doesn’t score). The spotlight panel zooms to show where the asked country is while the full map stays for context. Aliases and accent-insensitive spellings work. Pause stops the timer. At the end you’ll see your percentile, your rarest catch, and every capital you missed.
