About Mini Space Shooter
Your ship sits at the bottom of the screen, and the enemies keep coming. Mini Space Shooter is a lean, no-frills arcade shooter — move left and right, hold fire, and see how long you last before the waves overwhelm you. There are no menus to navigate, no install, no account. Just the game.
Built as a single HTML file, it loads instantly and runs entirely in the browser. The whole thing is open source under MIT, so curious players can pop open the source and see exactly how it works. It's a clean example of how much a focused idea can do with very little. If you want something with a bit more momentum and forward motion, HexGL Racing goes in a different direction but keeps that same arcade intensity.
Browse more games in the catalog if you want to keep going after your first run. Controls are keyboard only — arrow keys or WASD to move, spacebar to shoot — so this one is best played at a desk rather than on a phone.
How to use
• Use WASD keys or arrow keys to move your white spaceship around the screen • Press SPACE BAR to shoot yellow bullets at incoming red enemies • Destroy enemies to earn points - larger enemies give more points • Your score multiplier increases with each enemy destroyed, boosting future points • Collect blue power-ups to temporarily shoot faster • Avoid colliding with red enemies or the game ends • Game gets harder as your score increases - more enemies spawn faster • Press P to pause/unpause the game • Press R to restart after game over • Your high score is automatically saved Goal: Survive as long as possible while destroying enemies and achieving the highest score. Stay alert as enemy spawn rate increases every 100 points!
