Pinochle puts you across the table from AI partners and opponents in the classic American trick-taking card game. You bid for the contract, lay down your meld to score points from combinations in your hand, then fight through the tricks to make good on your promise. Get the bid wrong and your team takes a penalty; nail it and the points stack up fast.
The game follows standard partnership rules — two versus two — so every decision carries weight for both you and your AI partner. Knowing when to push for a higher bid and when to let the opponents overcommit is the heart of the strategy. How to use
• Click cards to select them and use mouse to drag and drop cards during play • Team up with an AI partner to score 1500 points before the opposing team • Game has three phases: bidding, melding, and trick-taking • During bidding, use +/- buttons to adjust your bid or click "Pass" • If you win the bid, click a suit symbol to choose trump • In the melding phase, you score points for specific card combinations in your hand • During trick-taking, drag cards from your hand to the center to play them • You must follow the suit led if possible, play trump if you can't follow suit • Higher cards and trump cards win tricks, which give you counter points • Use "Hint" button for suggested plays, "Undo/Redo" buttons to review moves • Click the scoreboard to see detailed scoring breakdown • Some hands may require passing 3 cards to teammates before play begins
