Chess
Play chess against a thoughtful AI opponent. Three difficulty levels, undo, and cloud saves so you can pick up where you left off.
About Chess
You sit down across from an AI opponent and play a full game of chess — standard rules, proper piece movement, no shortcuts. Three difficulty levels mean you can ease in against a forgiving opponent or test your patience against something that actually pushes back. Undo is there when you want to replay a blunder without starting over, and cloud saves mean a half-finished game waits exactly where you left it.
The board is clean and readable, though the full grid does take up screen space, so a tablet or desktop gives you a noticeably more comfortable view of the position. If you'd rather exercise your brain with something pattern-based instead, Mahjong Solitaire is worth a look. For more games like this, the catalog has plenty of options across strategy and puzzles.
Keyboard and mouse both work well — click to select a piece, click again to place it.

How to use
• Objective: Beat the AI at chess. Standard rules — check, checkmate, draws, en passant, castling, promotion. • Making moves: Tap a piece to see its legal moves, then tap the destination. You can also drag pieces to their target square. • Difficulty: Pick Easy, Medium, or Hard from the dropdown. Higher levels think deeper and play stronger. • Controls: - New Game — start over (you'll be asked to confirm if a game is in progress) - Undo — take back your last move (also undoes the engine's response) - Flip — rotate the board to see it from the other side - Play as — switch between playing White or Black • Promotion: When a pawn reaches the last rank, pick Queen, Rook, Bishop, or Knight. • Advantage bar: Shows who's ahead based on material. The pawn/piece values translate to a +N label ("White +2" means white is up 2 pawns of material). • Cloud saves: Your game auto-saves across devices — close the tab and return later to pick up where you left off.
