About Mahjong Solitaire
Each turn, you scan the board for two free tiles with matching faces — free meaning nothing is stacked on top and at least one side is open — then click to remove them. Do that until the board is clear and you win. Sounds simple, but the 84 hand-crafted layouts range from forgiving open grids to dense towers where a single wrong pair locks you out of a solution entirely.
The feature set is deeper than most browser puzzles bother with. Thirteen tile sets let you swap between classic Chinese characters, symbols, or illustrated designs. A built-in tile editor lets you build your own sets from scratch. Keyboard shortcuts keep your hands moving, and per-session statistics show your win rate, best times, and streaks over time. How to use
• **Goal:** Remove all matching pairs of tiles to clear the board • **Controls:** Click on tiles to select them. Click a second matching tile to remove both tiles from the board. • **Matching Rules:** Tiles must have identical symbols or characters to match. Only "free" tiles can be selected - tiles that have at least one side (left or right) completely open and are not covered by other tiles on top. • **Strategy:** Look for tiles that are blocking others underneath or preventing access to side tiles. Removing these first opens up more matching opportunities. • **Stuck:** If no valid matches remain, use the hint button or restart the board. Some layouts may not always be solvable depending on the random tile arrangement. • **Features:** Choose from 84 different board layouts, customize tile designs and backgrounds, and track your best completion times. • **Winning:** Clear all tiles from the board to complete the puzzle.
