About Battleship
You place your ships — destroyer, submarine, battleship, carrier — then the hunt begins. Each turn you call a coordinate, watch for the hit or miss marker, and piece together where the enemy fleet is hiding before it dismantles yours. The AI opponent thinks through its shots rather than firing at random, so a lucky early hit on your cruiser can quickly snowball into pressure.
It's a faithful take on the classic board game, built for quick solo sessions. If you enjoy strategy games that reward deduction over reflexes, this scratches that itch without any setup time. Fans of turn-based thinking might also enjoy Chess, which puts a similarly methodical AI across the table.
The game plays entirely with mouse clicks, runs in any browser, and a typical match wraps up in around five to ten minutes — making it a solid pick for a short break.
How to use
• **Objective:** Sink all of the computer's ships before it sinks yours • **Setup:** The game automatically places ships on both your grid and the computer's grid at the start • **Your Turn:** Click any cell on the computer's grid (right side) to fire a shot - Red = Hit a ship - White/Gray = Missed shot • **Computer's Turn:** The AI automatically fires at your grid (left side) after your shot • **Strategy:** When you hit a ship, try firing at adjacent cells to sink the entire ship • **AI Behavior:** The computer uses intelligent targeting - after hitting one of your ships, it will strategically target surrounding cells • **Winning:** First player to sink all opponent ships wins • **New Game:** Click "Play Again" when the game ends to start over with new ship positions
