About Chronicles of Stampadia
Each day, a fresh dungeon appears — and it's the same one for every player on the planet. Chronicles of Stampadia drops you into a procedurally generated labyrinth where you fight monsters, scavenge loot, and try to push deeper than you did yesterday. The layout changes daily, but your instincts carry over: learn enemy patterns, manage your resources, and pick your battles carefully.
It's a compact roguelike built entirely for the browser, with no install and no account required. Death is permanent for that run, so every decision carries real weight. If you enjoy browser-based games that reward patience and pattern recognition over reflexes, this fits neatly into a lunch break or commute.
Because it's open-source under the MIT license, the game is lean and ad-free. Keyboard and mouse both work well on desktop; a larger screen gives you a clearer view of the dungeon grid, making it easier to plan your next move before committing.
How to use
• Download and print the daily adventure sheet from the website • Use 2 dice, a pencil, an eraser, and a small button/token as your character marker • Start at the entrance and move your token through the dungeon grid one room at a time • To discover what's in a new room, perform the calculation shown in that grid square • Look up the result in the reference tables on your printed sheet to reveal enemies, treasures, or events • Combat uses dice placement - roll dice and assign them strategically to attack or defend • Erase and update your character stats as you take damage, gain items, or complete objectives • Your goal is to complete the main quest while surviving the randomly revealed dangers • Each daily adventure is unique with different layouts, quests, and challenges • The entire dungeon is pre-generated but hidden through the calculation system - no cheating by looking ahead • You can replay adventures for higher scores once you know the layout
