About Sokoban
Push a warehouse worker around a grid, shoving heavy crates onto marked floor tiles one square at a time. The catch: you can only push, never pull. Squeeze a crate into a corner and it's stuck there forever — which means a single careless move can make a level unsolvable, forcing you to restart and rethink your entire approach from scratch.
Sokoban is one of the founding puzzles of the games genre, originating in Japan in 1982, and its core tension holds up remarkably well. Levels start approachable and grow into genuine head-scratchers that reward patient, deliberate planning over quick reflexes. If you enjoy that same slow-burn satisfaction of working out moves in advance, Launch Nonogram is worth a look too.
Controls are arrow keys or WASD, and most levels are short enough to finish in under five minutes — making this a solid pick when you have a few spare moments and want something that actually makes you think.
How to use
Push all the boxes onto the target squares to complete each level. Controls: • Use arrow keys or WASD to move your character • You can only push boxes, not pull them • Push only one box at a time Gameplay: • Move your character to push boxes around the warehouse • Get each box positioned on a target square (usually marked differently) • Plan your moves carefully - boxes can get stuck in corners or against walls • If you get stuck, restart the level and try a different approach • Complete all levels by solving each puzzle Tips: • Think several moves ahead before pushing a box • Avoid pushing boxes into corners unless there's a target there • Work backwards from the solution - figure out where boxes need to end up first
