About Phytons
Guide a growing python across a clean canvas grid, eating pellets and steering clear of your own expanding tail. Each pellet adds a segment, the pace stays smooth, and the only thing standing between you and a high score is your ability to not corner yourself. It sounds simple. It isn't.
Phytons is a crisp, no-clutter take on one of gaming's oldest formats, rendered in HTML5 canvas with sharp visuals and responsive controls. If you enjoy this style of quick reflex challenge, there's plenty more to explore in arcade and casual games. For a direct comparison with another polished version of the format, Snake adds difficulty modes and a global leaderboard if you want something to chase.
Keyboard arrow keys handle all the steering — no mouse needed — making this one particularly well-suited to a desktop browser during a short break.
How to use
• Control your snake using arrow keys or WASD to move up, down, left, and right • Eat the food that appears on screen to grow longer and increase your score • Avoid colliding with your own body - this ends the game • If you hit a wall, your snake will appear on the opposite side of the screen • Enter your name before starting to track your high score • Use the rewind feature to go back up to 5 seconds when you make a mistake: - Click the rewind button - Use the slider to select how many seconds to rewind - Click rewind to confirm or cancel to abort • Your goal is to eat as much food as possible while growing longer without crashing into yourself • The timer tracks how long you've been playing and your score increases with each food eaten
