Hold your hand up to your webcam and watch a paddle mirror your every move. Hand-Tracked Block Breaker takes the classic brick-busting formula and strips out the mouse and keyboard entirely — your hand is the controller. Tilt left, slide right, and try to keep the ball bouncing as the bricks above slowly dwindle.
The hand-tracking runs straight in your browser using your webcam feed, no downloads or installs required. It's a genuinely different feel from clicking or tapping; there's a small learning curve as you calibrate your movements to the paddle speed, but that friction is half the fun. If you enjoy picking up arcade games that put a fresh spin on a familiar concept, this one earns a few rounds of your time.
Works best in good lighting with your hand clearly visible against a plain background — a bit of extra brightness goes a long way toward keeping the tracking smooth and responsive.
How to use
• Allow camera access when prompted - your webcam is required for hand tracking • Hold your palm flat and face it toward the camera to control the paddle • Move your hand left and right to move the paddle horizontally across the screen • Use the paddle to bounce the ball up and break all the colored bricks • Clear all bricks on screen to advance to the next level • You start with 3 lives - lose a life when the ball falls below the paddle • Each new level increases ball speed by 10% and shrinks paddle size by 10% • Position yourself arm's length from camera with good lighting for best hand detection • If tracking fails, try tilting your camera down or adjusting your distance • Game ends when you run out of lives • Click "Restart Game" to play again
