Sword swinging and arrow firing, you cut through waves of orcs, ghosts, and goblins across hand-drawn dungeon rooms rendered on HTML5 canvas. Each level throws more enemies at you, scatters treasure across the floor, and dares you to survive long enough to find the exit — a loop that should feel familiar to anyone who fed quarters into the original Gauntlet cabinet.
It's a straightforward tribute that nails the core tension: health drains constantly, so standing still is never an option. Grabbing food restores your vitality, but the enemies respawn from generators you haven't destroyed yet, keeping the pressure on. The arcade games crowd will feel right at home, and fans of old-school crawlers might also enjoy Snake for a different kind of relentless momentum.
Controls are keyboard-driven and responsive, making it a natural fit for desktop play — a mouse-only setup won't cut it here.
How to use
• Press 1, 2, 3, or 4 to select your character (Warrior, Valkyrie, Wizard, or Elf) and start the game • Use ARROW keys to move your character around the dungeon • HOLD SPACE to fire projectiles at monsters and enemies • Press ENTER to use a health potion when your health is low • Goal: Navigate through dungeon levels, defeat monsters, and collect treasure while staying alive • Collect keys to unlock doors and potions to restore health • Your health decreases when monsters attack you - avoid contact or defeat them quickly • Earn points by killing monsters and collecting treasure • Progress through increasingly difficult levels by finding the exit • Currently single-player only - choose any character to begin your adventure • Watch your health meter on the scoreboard - game ends when it reaches zero
