About Alien Defense
Waves of alien ships pour down the screen, and it's your job to blast them before they breach Earth's defenses. You control a cannon at the bottom of the screen, dodging enemy fire while chaining power-ups to clear each increasingly dense formation. The challenge ramps up fast — early rounds feel manageable, then suddenly a second enemy type flanks you from the side.
Three difficulty settings mean you can ease in or go straight to the punishing hard mode where alien speed and spawn rates leave almost no margin for error. It fits neatly into the arcade games tradition of easy-to-learn, hard-to-master shooting. If you enjoy testing pure reaction speed in a different format, Reflex is worth a look between runs.
Controls are keyboard-based — arrow keys or WASD to move, spacebar to fire — so it plays best on a desktop or laptop rather than a touchscreen.
How to use
• Use A/D keys or arrow keys to move your ship left and right • Press Space bar or click mouse to shoot at aliens • Destroy all alien invaders to advance to the next level • You start with 3 lives - avoid alien contact or you'll lose a life • Collect falling power-ups for advantages: - Health boost (restore life) - Speed boost (faster movement) - Shield (temporary invincibility) • Choose difficulty: Easy, Medium, or Hard from the dropdown menu • Press ESC to pause the game • On mobile: Use on-screen buttons to move and shoot • Score points by destroying different alien types • Game ends when all lives are lost • Beat your high score to unlock achievements
